((I know... this is very poorly written, but I really don't have time to write anymore and I wanted to provide some explanation of Alether's return. It's not so much a story as a brief summary of events.))

In the months following the Law-Giver's funeral, Taimi wandered the northern lands alone. A traitor to her homeland and now outcast from the clan she had betrayed her people for, she was a woman without any place to call home.

Cimmeria is a harsh land, and survival is a struggle for the largest and strongest of clans, much less a lone nomad; and a civilized nomad at that. Taimi relied on her old knowledge of sorcery (which she had tried hard to forget while living among Clan Elkhorn) to keep herself alive.

Several months had passed when she encountered a band of Hyperborean witchmen in the Eiglophian mountains. They subdued her and dragged her back to Haloga where she stood before Vammatar, the Witch Queen of Hyperborea. Taimi expected a slow and painful death at the hands of Vammatar the Cruel, but was surprised to be offered a second chance.

Vammatar had learned of the resurrection of Doth'Kelz, and that the demon now ran free. She craved this demon's power for herself and had concocted a scheme to obtain it. She suspected that Alether Bloodsteel, the late Law-Giver of Clan Elkhorn had retained but a minute fragment of Doth'Kelz essence and that perhaps her corpse might be used to lead her to the demon himself. In years past, Taimi had studied the necromantic arts and had grown quite proficient in its practice. Furthermore, she was familiar with the former Law-Giver's burial site and had know the Law-Giver fairly well. She asked Taimi to resurrect the corpse and use it to find Doth'Kelz and in exchange her former position as agent of the White Hand would be restored to her.

Taimi accepted the offer and did as she was instructed. She journeyed to the Elkhorn burial mound and raised Alether's corpse. It was an intricate spell. The body was nearly fully restored, but for a few minor details. The Law-Giver's mind was intact, but her will left buried in the grave.

Unfortunately, the risen corpse was unable to lead the way to Doth'Kelz, at least not immediately. Taimi, however, was undeterred. She instructed the corpse to return to its clan and search for any clues. Taimi suspected that the Law-Giver's murderer had been the demon-god himself and perhaps if Alether returned there, she in time would sense his presence and lead her to him.
